Airline/Aviation Job Preparation: Why do you want to work with this airline?
I know you are very well aware of the benefits, pros, or life-changing events that are going to take place
once you are hired. BUT please never say these few things whenever you are
asked this “Why do you want to work with this Airline?”
Few points to avoid while preparing your answer or speech:
Ø You want to be financially independent
– avoid saying this.
Ø You like to travel -
The airline is not asking you to travel but the role or the job is, getting an opportunity to travel is something that every airline will let you do.
Ø Not
only Travelling but do not mention any other perk that comes with the role
of the cabin crew.
Ø You
love to meet new people or you love to talk to people
Ø You
enjoy serving people/customers.
Ø These
are a part of your job role, you are expected to help/serve/interact with
people/customers. So avoid mentioning such points as well.
How to deliver the
perfect Answer?
- Ø Deliver
the talk Use to construct your answer.
- Ø Give
your reason with confidence – Whatever your reason might be
please be confident. Now, this can be done if you write all your ideas on a page
and arrange it. Then you can read it again and again.
- Ø Do
not imitate - It is okay to listen to people how they
give words to feeling and thoughts BUT guys please do not try
to imitate. Do not try to use the same rhythm or process that someone else is
using to answer this question. You can take an idea and prepare your points by
listening to them BUT please be the best of yourself and UNIQUE.
- Ø Converse
the Audience - Although you are delivering an answer if
this type of question is raised please try to change it into a friendly
conversation, not into a typical question and answer round. Converting it into
a friendly conversation will be a WIN-WIN situation for you.
- Ø Put
your heart into your words - No matter what your reason is for
liking a particular company but if you like something it shows in your heart. Here
you have to not only show your likeness through words but with both.
- Ø Deliver
with Strong and Flexible Voice - As I told
earlier about voice modulation make sure you change the tone of your voice as required.
Example: If you are speaking about the awesome customer service make sure your
voice is soft.
- Ø Speak
with Enthusiasm – Make sure whatever good reason you
have prepared in your notes you share it with enthusiasm and excitement.
Because if we like something Enthusiasm is obvious.
- Ø Show
Respect – Show respect to all the things like
the recruiter you are talking to, about the topic you are explaining, and your
choice as well as the organization.
- Ø Begin
in a Friendly Manner – Please start your conversation in a manner that is pleasant to the ear. Because soft words and voice tone spoke
with respect I guess is the most convincing.
- Ø Also,
try to give a real-life exam that includes you and that
particular airline in a positive scenario but in one frame.
