Cabin Crew Medicals
Cabin crew has to go through different kind of medical tests before they get their confirmation letter to join the airline. The tests include:
- Fasting blood sugar
- ECG
- General Eye Check
- ENT examination
- Physical Examination
- CBC with ESR
- Blood Grouping &
- Rh Typing
- Serum Creatinine
- Blood Urea
- Urine analysis with Microscopy
- Total Cholesterol
- Liver Function Test
- Height and Weight
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Chest X-Ray
- Ultrasound Upper Abdomen
- THS, T3, T4.
Many companies can add more to this list, but definitely not less. International airlines might ask you to go through a few more blood tests, mostly to check your immunity system. They may also ask you to do just a few of the above-mentioned tests, and the rest will be done once you reach the country of the airline company.
You won't receive any of the reports of any of these tests, as they will be sent directly to the company. If there are some serious concerns with any of the reports then only you will be informed about the same. You might be required to fill up different medical forms and send them back to the company. It is very important to fill up these forms very truthfully. If the company had any doubts they can do the tests again.
There were few other forms like this which was sent across to me to be filled up and sent back to the medical department of Emirates. These are just a few examples of the same.

That's it for today. I will be back again with more writing. Thank you.
