Jet Airways: Cabin Crew Interview Story
Once I got the SpiceJet offer, I had to be in Delhi for
training for 3 months. I traveled with two other girls from Bangalore, we gave
the interview together. We stayed in the same PG until the end of Training. After
almost 3 months of training, we started flying. We were posted in Mumbai and was
living with a good friend sharing room. We three became good friends, and we are
still in touch.
While I was on holiday, I was in Kolkata my
hometown. Jet airways were conducting their interview. Well, I took the opportunity and attended the interview. Spice Jet Airline interview was for 1 day, but Jet
Airways interview took 3 days. The first day was almost the same, resume and photo
submission, self-introduction, height-weight check, and group discussion. I was
given a token number and specific time to be at a different location than the
Hotel where the interview took place, the next day.
The next day I reached the location, before time. It was a one-on-one round with two HR Management person. They asked questions on General
Knowledge, Current Affair, Aviation Industry, How I like the Flying Job, What I
enjoy the most, etc. Once again I was asked to come the next day at 10am, and I
was told that was a Breakfast Invitation form the company. I was a bit
surprised and did not know about this kind of round that existed. But, it sounded
exciting and fun.
The next day there were almost 20 candidates in the location.
It was actually a breakfast round, once we all reached we got our names ticked
on the list. From the Management team, almost 4 people were there. We were called
in the room, on the table there were fruits, bread, sandwiches, juice
tea-coffee, and a few more food items. We were told to be ourselves, and help
ourselves with the breakfast items. I got engages in conversation with a few
other candidates, their names where they stay what they do, etc. Along with myself, I was also serving a few more people who were standing at the same stations, or
when I was holding the teapot or holding the thongs to serve sandwiches. By
the end of the Breakfast, we were all asked to sit in a place, and we were told
the real purpose of this round. This round was to check how do we behave among
strangers, how do we initiate communication, how do we react if someone tries
to serve us something or how do we answer if someone asks any questions. Then, immediately
we were informed that we were selected and we will be getting a call informing
about our pre-joining medical test.
Yes, for every airline you have to give their own
specified medical test. The list of tests remain the same, but the center
changes. And You will not be receiving those test reports, they are directly
sent to the Company by the Medical center.
Then I got back to my regular work, and after a few weeks
later I received my joining date call from Jet Airways. I was still working
with SpiceJet, so I resigned and wanted to leave as early as possible. So, I did
a not very smart thing, which is not to serve the required NOTICE period.
That’s all for today. I will be back again with more writing.
Thank you.
